Volvo has announced that it will soon begin a trial of 100 self-driving cars on the public roads around the Swedish city of Gothenburg. While many other carmakers – and Google – have been experimenting with this kind of autonomous driving technology, the ‘Drive Me – Self-driving cars for sustainable mobility’ project is set to see driverless cars mix with real traffic on real roads. The Drive Me project is a joint initiative between Volvo Car Group, the Swedish Transport Administration, the Swedish Transport Agency, Lindholmen Science Park and the City of Gothenburg.
Last week we brought you a few mystery car reviews and asked you to guess which vehicle was being reviewed. The response was great and we want to say congrats to @GoldGunsCars, @kokiousis, @buckar00 and @aol_wshutton, who all guessed correctly. The three reviews were of the Porsche Cayenne, Mercedes S55 AMG and Ford Focus SVT, all from 2004.

You wait for ages for an Alfa Romeo hot hatchback and, ahem, two tweaked versions arrive together. Here we have the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Cloverleaf and Mito Cloverleaf, or ‘Quadrifoglio Verde’, if you prefer. Both range-toppers will be revealed at the Geneva motor show in March 2014.
